O’Neill's D&C took on an exciting venture to bring the Puzzle Coffee concept to life through a comprehensive design & construction package.
From the initial concept design to the grand opening, our team worked tirelessly to deliver four exceptional and uniquely designed coffee shops. Each location was carefully crafted to offer that perfect, one-of-a-kind angle for the ultimate Instagram photo opportunity.
With a creative blend of specialty lighting, captivating feature finishes, and clever signage, the venues radiate a truly stunning and awe-inspiring ambiance. We've ensured that every corner of these coffee shops exudes a sense of charm and charisma, making them not just places for delightful coffee but also delightful experiences for every visitor.
The successful completion of these four coffee shops exemplifies O’Neill's commitment to innovation and excellence in design and construction. We're thrilled to have played a significant role in bringing the Puzzle Coffee Concept to the world, providing coffee enthusiasts with not only a memorable taste but also a visually captivating journey.
Zest Coffee Roasters moved their head roastery to Richmond and utilised O'Neills Design & Construction to deliver a multi-purpose 2 storey building, functioning as a roastery, a training and sales centre showcasing their retail products and several fully installed and operational commercial/domestic use of espresso machines.
We had a direct impact on all aspects of the project, including design improvements, custom furniture manufacture and upgrades to a heritage style building with historical construction challenges.
Working directly with the building owners (Golden Era), the O'Neill's team were engaged to carry out the design and construction of a full building upgrade in Burwood East.
This included a new feature lobby with stunning floor to ceiling timber clad walls, stair case, new mezzanine floor, bathroom reconfiguration and new glazed air lock.
All services including mechanical, electrical & fires services were updated, including new main switch board and new FIP.
Works were staged to accommodate working within a live environment.

Harness Racing Victoria entrusted O’Neill’s D&C with a remarkable project – to bring their vision of an exquisite VIP Lounge & Owners Bar at the Tabcorp Park facility in Melton to life.
Overcoming challenges posed by the lounge's location under the grandstand tiered seating, we devised a strategic and innovative methodology. This approach allowed us to flawlessly install the raft slab without disrupting the live bistro and existing bars' ongoing operations.
The result is simply breathtaking. The VIP Lounge & Owners Bar boasts high-end finishes, intricate joinery, captivating feature walls, and a beautifully crafted stone-clad bar that adds an air of sophistication to the space. It's a showcase of O’Neill’s dedication to delivering stunning, functional spaces that surpass expectations.
We take pride in the success of this project, and the finished lounge is set to impress and delight all who step inside. With our expertise, we've transformed the Tabcorp Park facility into a haven of elegance and luxury, and we're thrilled to have collaborated with Harness Racing Victoria to make this vision a reality.

O’Neill’s Design & Construction took the lead in upgrading and creating a brand-new camp kitchen and BBQ area, all while preserving the parkland's natural charm
O’Neill’s constructed a state-of-the-art steel structured camp kitchen and covered BBQ deck area, enhancing the overall experience for park visitors. But that's not all – we also revamped the existing amenities, including male and female shower areas, family rooms, and laundry facilities, making Queens Park a truly comfortable and convenient destination.
Our top priority throughout the project was to protect the environment and ensure the surrounding natural habitat remained untouched. To achieve this, O’Neill’s developed a robust Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP), carefully implemented by our expert team.
Thanks to our meticulous planning and execution, the construction phase posed no risk to the park's ecosystem.
To ensure seamless project management and supervision, we stationed a dedicated on-site manager to oversee every aspect of the development.
Local sub-contracted trades were carefully coordinated under our watchful eye, leading to the successful delivery of a modern and highly functional space.

O'Neills Design & Construction is proud to elevate our collaboration with Rest Super and Knight Frank through the transformative upgrade of the 717 Bourke Street lobby. This flagship project, meticulously planned to minimise disruption in a bustling live environment, was completed in March 2024, on time and within budget.
This extensive refurbishment features relocation of the facade and a new revolving door, significantly expanding the lobby to create a more spacious and welcoming atmosphere. A standout feature is the implementation of an operable facade system, designed to seamlessly merge indoor and outdoor environments. This adaptation not only accommodates a vibrant new coffee shop, catering to both tenants and visitors, but also integrates a pergola and a beautifully hard-landscaped area, enhancing the buildings entry experience.
In addition to the cafe, the project introduces banquette seating and guest charging stations within a newly conceived Winter Garden setting, complete with a feature ceiling that adds to the ambiance. State of the art conference rooms, equipped with high quality soundproofing and AV technology, provides an exclusive space for Channel 9, offering a modern solution for private meetings and large corporate events.
Rest Super and Knight Frank partnered with O'Neills Design & Construction to craft a cutting-edge Southern Cross Smiles clinic that epitomizes the pinnacle of modern design, perfectly in sync with the prestigious standards of 717 Bourke St and Rest Super brand.
With lease agreements playing a pivotal role in our project timeline, O'Neills sprang into action, swiftly initiating the design phase in close collaboration with Southern Cross Smiles. Seamlessly, blending the client's design aspirations with the tenants practical needs, we achieved a finalised design promptly, enabling us to execute a rapid construction program spanning just 4 weeks.
The result? A breathtakingly contemporary dental clinic that not only delights its occupants but also fulfills the vision of our esteemed client, all within budget and delivered right on schedule.
